'Because of its single political discourse, Saudi Arabia has earned respect of the international world'

Saudi Arabia seems to have a particular language and political discourse in public and private, which has captured the hearts of the international community, according to Walid Bin Abdullah Bukhari, the Kingdom's Ambassador to Lebanon, who spoke to a Lebanese team that visited his office on Wednesday morning.

Bukhari made the statement in response to claims made by Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe in the Lebanese caretaker administration that the Gulf governments aided Daesh's emergence (the so-called ISIS).

The group, headed by Lebanon's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, arrived at the Saudi ambassador's office to show solidarity with Saudi Arabia and many other Gulf Cooperation Council members.

Following his discussion with the Saudi ambassador, Derian stated, "We came here to show our solidarity with the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia, and also with the remaining GCC nations, and to convey our devotion to these nations since they have always offered support and help to Lebanon."

The previous disrespectful words made against Saudi Arabia and other GCC governments, as per the Lebanese grand mufti, not only upset these nations but are also offensive to us as Lebanese nationals.

Following that day, Bukhari met with Mohammed Fahmi, the caretaker government's Minister of Interior.

Following his meeting with the Saudi ambassador, Fahmy released a declaration in which he condemned recent statements made towards Saudi Arabia. Since a former brigadier general in the Lebanese army, I can guarantee you that now the charges were completely false, as the Kingdom's aid to the Lebanese army and security personnel enabled us to resolve all of the hurdles we had throughout the war against terrorism.

The Saudi ambassador welcomed a multitude of other delegations from all elements of Lebanese society who came to prove their support with the Kingdom and denounce the Lebanese foreign minister's remarks.
