The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) announced recently that this would incorporate a full foreign ownership policy beginning this month, letting investors of natural and legal persons own 100% of commercial and industrial businesses and operate a business in the Emirate of Sharjah.
This judgment contains no criteria for foreign investors, including a particular capital or any additional fees, while permitting subsidiaries of international firms to operate a business in the Emirate without the necessity for a foreign company's representative.
Last month, the UAE Ministry of Economy issued a significant statement on Wednesday, indicating that the new Commercial Company Law allowing for 100% foreign ownership would go into operation on June 1, 2021.
