Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) reported on Tuesday that it had agreed to buy 15 Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes. At list rates, the transaction is worth around $1.8 billion.

DAE's chief executive officer, Firoz Tarapore, said, "We are thrilled to strengthen our existing strong partnership with Boeing. We own and operate 162 Boeing aircraft, including this contract. The MAX is being reintroduced into the airspace by a growing array of international airline authorities. We are optimistic about the future of these planes because domestic and international air transport is showing improvement."

DAE, a long-term Boeing affiliate, operates 162 Boeing aircraft. The 737 MAX 8 is a part of the 737 MAX series, which was created to provide greater fuel economy, durability, and stability in the single-aisle airplane industry. DAE recently reached an agreement with American Airlines to supply 18 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

"DAE has been important in helping its consumers in recognizing the 737-8's operational economics and environmental efficiency. We are pleased that they have returned to add more 737 aircraft to its expansion strategy as it prepares for a turnaround in commercial passenger numbers "Boeing Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing Ihssane Mounir said.

"We are truly honored by DAE's trust in the 737 teams, and we look forward to serving with them to meet the fleet needs of airlines around the world," he said.

The 737-8 will use 16% less fuel and emit slightly less pollution per seat than the planes it substitutes, thanks to modern, more fuel-efficient engines and better aerodynamics. The jet can carry up to 178 passengers in a two-class arrangement and has a range of 3,550 nautical miles (6,570 km), which is about 600 miles longer than any of its predecessor. This added functionality would allow airlines to provide passengers with new and more convenient routes.

Any plane will have the latest Boeing Sky Layout, which features sleek molded sidewalls and window openings, LED lighting that adds to the feel of space, and wider steering overhead compartment bins.
