For their safety and health and in light of the unusual circumstances emerging from the pandemic, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee has approved administering free COVID-19 vaccinations to anybody with an expired residency or entrance visa.

To acquire the free COVID-19 vaccine, any sort of official identity, even if it is outdated, could be used to register at specified vaccination centers.

The Committee approved the use of the green pass on the Alhosn app on Wednesday, based on the emirate's four-pillar approach to combat COVID-19, which concentrates on vaccination, active contract tracing, safe admission, and preventative measures.

The committee has approved the use of the green pass procedure just for a safe entrance into shopping malls and major supermarkets, gyms, hotels and their amenities, public parks and beaches, private beaches and swimming pools, entertainment centers, movies, and museums, and restaurants and cafes. This will take effect on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

The committee highlighted that such protocols supplement current and authorized procedures for important sector operations and apply to people aged 16 and up.
