The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) International Investor Roadshow 2021 effectively strengthened relationships between Dubai-based equities and fixed-income issuers with top investment organizations in the US, UK, Europe, Asia, and Mena.

The event comprised 112 one-on-one talks with senior officials from 35 foreign funds with an estimated asset value of $40 billion.

The Roadshow was recently conducted in partnership with Goldman Sachs, with 23 senior executives from 10 equity and debt companies on the Dubai capital market participating.

The flagship investor event, which the DFM has conducted yearly since 2007, has allowed participating firms to highlight business advances, success stories, and their apparent capability to retain growth, which is backed by the high degree of endurance demonstrated by Dubai and the UAE in weathering the present challenges.

“International institutions that attended the roadshow reaffirmed their profound confidence in the prospects of Dubai capital markets and their willingness to further contribute in our markets in the next period, especially because Dubai and the UAE have established a remarkable example in dealing with global challenges, being at the forefront of economic development,” said Essa Kazim, Chairman of DFM. We strongly believe that our markets are well-positioned to realize the rewards of this good economic performance, and to draw additional foreign investments and enhance trade activity, highlighting that overseas investors represent one-third of the DFM's enormous investor base, which includes 207 different nationalities.”

International investors represented 46% of trade value in the first quarter of 2021, whereas their holding of total market capitalization increased by 2.6% to 18.3% towards the end of the quarter, compared to 17.8% at the end of the same period in 2020.”

“This has been a wonderful privilege to partner with the DFM in organizing a lot of these global investor roadshows since the initial event in 2007,” stated Fadi Abuali and Zaid Khaldi, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Goldman Sachs for Mena. Institutional investors remain interested in the area, and the roadshow provided an excellent venue for them to connect with senior management teams from some of Dubai's major listed corporations. We would like to acknowledge the DFM's top leadership, every one of the participating corporations, and the investor base for allowing us to conduct this significant event.”

In the same context, top executives of companies involved have praised the broad participation of international investment institutions, and their scrotal and geographical diversity, underlining the critical importance of DFM roadshows as an effective link with the global investing community.

Similarly, top executives from participating companies have praised foreign institutions' considerable participation and their geographical and industry diversification, highlighting DFM International Investor Roadshows' critical function as an effective link with the worldwide investment community.
