Business & Finance Club - Manama : Five new hi-tech “3G” multi-purpose schools will be built next year across the country, it was announced.

The schools will have closed air-conditioned halls rather than open playgrounds and classrooms will be built in a way that will make them versatile, said Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi. He said the ministry was planning to spend BD20.4 million ($54 million) on building the five ‘3G’ schools, plus other new schools and adding 16 facilities to existing ones, from next year’s budget.

Two new regular schools will be built in Muharraq, Dr Al Nuaimi said after the King’s visit.
