The event was attended by a number of other ministry officials and members of Bapco's management.
The station was reopened after it underwent a major facelift as part of Bapco's ongoing redevelopment scheme for its service stations.
The redevelopment work at the station, which was originally built in 1990, started in May 2007 and was completed in May last year.
The total cost of the renovation project was BD189,880 ($503,530). The work included demolishing the existing sales building and constructing new one, building a convenience store, repairing the canopy beam structure and replacing it with an aluminium roof.
Other work on the station included modernising the design of the canopy and aluminium cladding to match that of other new Bapco service stations, replacing all electrical wiring and all lighting at the station, as well as general paint work.
