Business & Finance Club - Films : Never Let Me Go, American director Mark Romanek’s adaptation of the book by Kazuo Ishiguro, will launch this year's BFI London Film Festival on Oct. 13.
Oscar nominees Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley star in the film, about former students at an idyllic boarding school who have difficulty adjusting to an adult future. It co-stars new Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield.
Mulligan, who had her breakout in An Education, and Knightley, of Pride & Prejudice and Atonement, are expected to attend the premiere.
Never Let Me Go is to be released in the U.K. in January 2011 and is a special presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival this September.
Sandra Hebron, the festival's artistic director, said Never Let Me Go combined "impeccable film making, outstanding performances and a deeply moving story.”
A full slate of films will be announced Sept. 8.
