The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has finished arrangements for residents to transit outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and returning to it, beginning Monday, at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, in line with health-related rules and regulations and revised guidance for health procedures.

Under the direction of the GACA, Taibah Airport Operation Company has worked to define dedicated gates for the admission and exit of travelers to and from the airport lounges.

Furthermore, the corporation has assigned a crew to monitor the execution of preventive measures and to restrict non-passengers from entering the terminals, except for partners of travelers with disabilities, and to guarantee that travelers wear masks and that hand sanitizers are available at all arrivals and departures.

Through the Tawakkalna application, the airport has set up screening checkpoints at the terminals to guarantee the health of travelers and personnel. No passenger or employee will be permitted to enter the terminals unless his or her health is verified.

Those who do not comply with the preventative steps will be denied entry, in addition to giving optical screening spots and thermal cameras at all airport gateways to guarantee the safety of passengers before beginning the departure operations.

If a passenger's fever is detected, the appropriate procedures are followed, and the person is sent to the airport health facility.

Similarly, the first international flights from Riyadh's King Khalid Foreign Airport to Sarajevo International Airport commenced on Monday, after the decision to remove the ban on international travel through several international airports in the Kingdom.

The GACA released a new travel guide for tourists on Monday, emphasizing the necessity of Tawakkalna upon entering airports.
