Romantic super-production |
|
Business & Finance Club Magazine - Art & Culture - Cinema: The universal holiday for lovers, St Valentine's Day provides the occasion for this improbable romantic spectacular, set in the vastness of Los Angeles. The nineteen lead actors fall in and out of love, alternately splitting up and getting back together in this sentimental journey.
"Valentine's Day" is a super-production of limited success by the director of Pretty Woman. On the one hand, it is a well-choreographed, quickly-changing set piece that does not let up for a moment, with the actors doing justice to a well-written script. However, the constant comings and goings of this romantic circus make it difficult to feel close to any of the characters. In the bonus features, the deleted scenes presented by Garry Marshall make for satisfying viewing. |
