Business & Finance Club - Dubai: Godolphin's Hibaayeb and Girolama booked their tickets to next month's lucrative Breeders' Cup meeting after posting impressive Grade One wins in America on Saturday.
Hibaayeb made a memorable American debut when capturing the Yellow Ribbon Stakes at Hollywood Park's Oak Tree meeting while Girolamo won his first Grade One when taking the Vosburgh Stakes on dirt at Belmont Park.
While the former will be targeted at the Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf when Churchill Downs hosts the Breeders' Cup for a historic seventh time on November 5, Girolamo will run in the Breeders' Cup Sprint.
Godolphin trainer Saeed Bin Surour, who was delighted to have recorded a double in America, commented on Hibaayeb.
"She has put up a very good performance to win a Grade One on her first start in America. Her target is now the Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf ," he said on the Godolphin website.
Girolamo had the honour of providing Godolphin with their first Grade One triumph in America this year when rallying from just off the pace in the hands of Alan Garcia to defeat Riley Tuckek for his first success at the top level.
Bin Surour commented: "He has run a huge race and deserved this Grade One victory.
"Girolamo is very well bred and looks a good stallion prospect. He will remain at six furlongs for the Breeders' Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs next month."
Garcia, who has ridden Girolamo in all his five career wins, added: "He broke good. I had speed inside and outside and I didn't want to be with those two horses in front initially.
