Business & Finance Club - Dubai: Godolphin are assembling a strong raiding party for this weekend's Arc meeting at Longchamp in Paris which includes 11 Group races over two days and features some of the best flat racing in Europe.
Cavalryman leads the charge for the boys in blue when he lines up to contest the meet's showpiece race, the 6.3 million euros (Dh31.56 million) Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Group 1) on Sunday, while Rio de la Plata contests the Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Group 2) on Saturday.
Godolphin are bidding for a fourth success in the Arc and first since 16/1 outsider Marienbard held off stable companion Sulamani by three quarters of a length to triumph in 2001.
Cavalryman finished a close third to the brilliant Sea The Stars and Youmzain in the race 12 months ago and will have all to run for as he takes on top contenders like ante-post favourite Behkabad, Planteur and Sarafina from France and Ireland's Fame And Glory and Cape Blanco.
Cavalryman, who was trained by Andre Fabre last season, comes into the race on the back of a third place effort in the Grosser Mercedes-Benz Preis von Baden (Group 1) in Germany.
Prior to that he ran a big race at York to finish fourth behind Rip Van Winkle, Twice Over and Byword in the Juddmonte International Stakes (Group 1).
