Business & Finance Club - Doha : ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, will showcase the latest oil and gas solutions at the 'Offshore Middle East' expo to be held from October 12 to 14 in Doha.
Offshore ME is dedicated to offshore oil and gas technology in the region and provides a forum where industry leaders can address technical issues; introduce pioneering technology and share lessons learned about finding developing and producing oil and gas in Middle East offshore regions.
The event will feature product displays and technology presentations from ABB technical experts who will stress the importance of technology integration for today’s oil and gas companies.
This year's focus will be on the power of integration for the oil and gas sector, according to the organisers.
“Our customers in the oil and gas industry have told us that they are looking for solutions that simplify their business, solutions that optimize production and that reduce costs," said Bjarne André Asheim, Local Process Automation division manager for ABB in Qatar.
"The power of integration allows oil and gas companies to achieve these aims, and that’s why we’ve brought these solutions to Qatar to display them at Offshore Middle East," he remarked.
"At stand 201, ABB will host solutions that provide oil and gas companies with a complete integrated solution to manage their operations, including its wide range of analyzers, instrumentation solutions, drives, motors, and low-voltage equipment for the oil and gas sector, Asheim added.
Visitors to ABB’s stand will be able to experience the latest Extended Operator Workplace (EOW) for ABB’s System 800xA automation platform.
ABB’s EOW provides operators with a fully interactive overview of each and every process in any oil and gas facility, synchronizes all process data (including closed-circuit television) into one interface in real time, and enables users to configure the workplace to their exact needs.
At the show, ABB’s oil and gas experts from the Middle East and Europe will be on hand at the stand to answer technical queries and demonstrate the full capabilities of the EOW and others solutions on display.
“We’ve enjoyed relationships with oil and gas producers for over fifty years in the Middle East region, and we will continue to invest in our local presence to support our customers in terms of technology that supports their business,” Asheim noted. |
