business & finance club -saudia arabia : In the Kingdom, Narayana Group will target Saudi and non-Saudi students, including over 60,000 students currently enrolled in different embassy-run schools, Saudi schools and private colleges.
“Saudi Arabia, which has had very cordial relations with India, has been chosen as a destination in our expansion plan,” said D.V. Rao, vice chairman of the Narayana Group.
Rao, who is currently visiting the Kingdom on the invitation of Iqra DPS International School in Riyadh, will hold talks with students, private schools and colleges of the Kingdom to evaluate scope and areas of cooperation.
The press briefing was also attended by Iqra DPS Chairman Amanullah Khan and Iqra DPS Director Akhtar H. Siddiqui.
Rao gave an interactive presentation on Sunday at the International Indian School in Riyadh (IISR) to parents and students about India’s competitive examinations. Rao will make a comprehensive presentation at Iqra DPS on Monday.
Asked about the proposed framework of cooperation with private educational institutes in Saudi Arabia, Rao said: “The Narayana Group would like to enroll students from Saudi Arabia, including Saudi students, and admit them to our India-based colleges. Our offer will suit every age group and all nationalities as Narayana Group is currently running institutions from KG to PG.”
Rao said he and DPS Chairman Khan will be visiting Dubai and California to do the spade work for Narayana expansion in the UAE and the US
