Business & Finance Club - Abu Dhabi : Abu Dhabi hotel chain Rotana announced on Sunday the opening of a new low-cost hotel in neighbouring emirate Dubai.

The 245-room Centro Barsha is located close to the business districts of Media City and Internet City, the company said in a statement.

It is the second Centro-branded property Rotana has opened to date.

The hotel company is working towards opening 25 Centro hotels across the Middle East and North Africa region by 2014, the statement said.

“Business travel and accommodation for the budget conscious executive is an increasingly important market in the Middle East and the Centro Hotels by Rotana concept is specifically designed to cater to this rapidly expanding market,” the company said in a statement.

Rotana currently managed a portfolio of more than 70 properties throughout the Middle East.
