Business & Finance Club - Medicine - Doha: Qatari doctors will be trained in France under an accord signed by the two countries.
According to an agreement signed on Tuesday, a committee will be formed to encourage the development of partnership between French and Qatari hospitals and to ease possible difficulties in the implementation of the accord.
The agreement signed by Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani, the health minister, and Gilles Bonnaud, the French ambassador in Doha, covers criteria for selecting Qatari doctors to be trained in accordance with what has been agreed upon by the Joint Qatari-French Committee, as well as the language details needed by Qatari doctors to help them integrate into French health institutions.
The two sides also signed a document on administrative arrangements of the framework of bilateral cooperation for the training of Qatari doctors in France and the relevant administrative, financial and legal arrangements.
Qatar said that the agreement was part of the agreements reached during the official visit by the Crown Prince Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to France in February.
The French Ambassador highlighted cooperation between his country and Qatar and referred to projects involving specialised French institutions and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and the Shafallah Center for People with Special Needs. |
