Business & Finance Club - Dubai : Jafza, Economic Zones World’s flagship free zone, has introduced e-License, its latest value-added service to customers.
The e-License will simplify all license-related processes to a quick-response online transaction. Free zone licenses will be processed only online in the future, a statement said.
The scheme, facilitated through the portal of Dubai Trade, a leading integrated online solutions provider and business facilitator under Dubai World, will enable customers to renew their license or get a new one without having to physically visit Jafza. Only the basic documents need to be presented at the office.
The scheme carries wide ranging benefits for customers, it said. License renewal forms, procedures and directions are all available on the Dubai Trade Portal www.dubaitrade.ae. They can also use the e-Payment option and receive the renewed license copy online on demand. Automated license reminders and notifications will be sent through e-mail, fax or SMS.
Launched in March 2010, the e-License service has already evoked tremendous response. Over 1,000 e-licenses were renewed online within the first month of its launch. Jafza is the second authority in Dubai to offer this online service after Dubai Department of Economic Development. It is the first to provide e-License copies that can be printed and used.
Abdulla Al Jasmi, VP commercial registrations - UAE region said: “e-license is another step in Jafza’s continuing efforts to make things easier for our customers. This will have great positive impact not only for them, but also for Jafza. Apart from saving turnaround time and effort considerably, e-License will also boost Jafza’s effort to limit paper work and documentation processes to the minimum. The entire licensing procedure will be streamlined, increasing administrative efficiency to a much higher level. As always, we are committed to offer the most customer-friendly services.” |
