Business & Finance Club - Dubai : Dubai-based developer Victory Heights has handed over keys to the 600th villa of the 961-unit golfing residential community in Dubai Sports City.
The milestone comes as 75 per cent of the community’s 794 phase-one homes have been completed, Victory Heights said in a statement.
This puts the golfing residential development, a Dh2.5 billion ($680 million) joint venture between the Bahraini investment bank, Arcapita, and Dubai Sports City, on target for completion of the phase-one arm by the end of 2010, the statement added.
“I decided to buy in Victory Heights because of the expansive greenery and the close proximity to the sports facilities of Dubai Sports City,” said Faruk Uddin, the 600th villa owner to move, in who travelled from his home in the UK to take ownership of the Dubai property.
“I don’t play golf but I am going to have to give it a go seeing as the golf course is right on my doorstep. I am also looking forward to sitting out in the landscaped garden, with the BBQ going, enjoying the evening with my family and friends,” he added.
Yasser Abulrahman Al Raee, general manger at Victory Heights, said: “With two- thirds of our luxury villas now in the hands of homeowners, the first phase of Victory Heights is nearing completion.”
“The development is buzzing with activity and is really starting to feel like an established community, with its spacious homes and beautifully landscaped green spaces Victory Heights makes the perfect place to set up home,” he added.
Villas in Victory Heights are built in three different styles; authentic Spanish Andalusian, bold Mediterranean, and classic European styles, with many boasting tranquil views of the golf course’s fairways and lakes, the statement said. |
