Business & Finance Club - Oil & Gas Sector - MUSCAT — As part of the government’s efforts to continue to implement development projects in various parts of the Sultanate, the Ministry of Finance has approved 8 agreements and three variation orders worth of RO 49,490,000.
The agreements include the designing, construction and expansion of the gas network in Salalah (RO 19 million), the construction of a court complex in Al Rustaq (RO 9,854,000), technical support for the teaching staff at the colleges of technology (RO 6,371,000), the construction of an additional building for the College of Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University (RO 3,499,000), the construction of Hubra and Al Lagal school in the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawel (RO 858,000), the construction of Jofa school in Al Qoof in the Wilayat of Salalah (RO 692,000) and the development of some tourist sites in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar (RO 572,000).
The ministry also sanctioned variation Order No 5 which is related to the agreement on the construction of Qurayat-Sur road (RO 4,492,000), variation order No 2 for the construction of Khasab/Lima/Diba Al Bay’aa road (RO 3,506,000) and the variation order No 3 on consultancy services for Wadi Adai dyke (RO 646,000).
