Business & Finance Club - Manama : The Bahrain eGovernment Authority (eGA) is all set to introduce its new e-Office project “Zajil” aimed at enhancing different government correspondences through usage of IT in a safe environment for electronic communications.
As a first step, the eGA held a number of introductory meetings with various ministries and governmental entities to create awareness about the project.
The e-Office project “Zajil” is an initiative to benefit all national governmental entities to transform the processes and means of handling and exchanging official correspondence to the electronic method, said a eGA statement.
The project is within the eGovernment Authority initiatives to enhance electronic services exchanged among various national bodies in line with the national strategy for the eGovernment which is keen to upgrade electronic communications among entities which is referred to as (G2G) government to government.
This project offers a system which automates the correspondence among the ministries and governmental entities, through the development of working methods and activating the channels of communication and networking among the organizations with enhanced security options and confidentiality, high speed and effectiveness of such correspondences, it added.
Dr Zakareya Ahmed Al Khaja, director of Policies and Business Processes Re-engineering at the eGA said the project aims to develop the administrative work of national and governmental entities through technology applications.
'It is a system for automation and archiving of the process of correspondence among the ministries and national/government bodies, Al Khaja noted.
'It provides efficient high quality integrated automatic search system which would facilitate and enhance the results of the search for correspondence and documents saved electronically,' he added. |
