"The design of the bridge, which is expected to increase the efficiency and smooth flow of traffic at the intersection, has been finalized," the ADA said in a statement.
The ADA said the bridge has been designed in a way that corresponds with the aesthetic aspects of the road in harmony with its surrounding environment.
The 800-meter bridge will consist of two lanes in each direction and is expected to increase traffic on the road to more than 520,000 vehicles per day from the current 190,000.
The road projects also include three 185-meter long tunnels at the intersections of Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Road, Al-Takhassusi Street and King Abdulaziz Road.
