Communication Sector With the massive technological developments which were witnessed by the international communication sector, the GCC countries have paid great attentions to that sector, especially that the GCC countries are known for their openness to the world at various civilization and economical aspects. According to the statistics, the value of investment in communication sector in the GCC countries reached about 325$ billion, most of it directed to infrastructure projects and investment to open the door to new investors and to speed the paces for their privatization. The statistics indicators to the GCC, show the rise of the working telephone lines in U.A.E of the year 2004 to about 4,108,000, Bahrain 613,000 lines, Saudi Arabia 7,985,973 lines Qatar 326,688, Kuwait 496,973, to reach the total lines of the GCC of this years to 14,026,965 million line. |
