Towards the end of May, Emirates and flydubai airlines would have a combined network of 168 destinations, providing additional comfort, choice, and seamless connection for travelers throughout their combined network.
Nearly 500,000 passengers have traveled on the combined network since the relaunch of the airlines' codeshare collaboration in September 2020.
Kabul, Kathmandu, Kyiv, the Maldives, and Zanzibar are among the most popular locations reserved through the codeshare.
“The Emirates and flydubai collaboration continue to expand gradually to provide passengers additional better connection to Dubai and via Dubai to a broad worldwide network,” said Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai.
“We are witnessing significant client demand and are pleased to take the collaboration to another level by expanding services to other locations.” The tight relationship between Emirates and flydubai helps Dubai as a business, pleasure, and aviation center by providing better connectivity and travel circulates from the combined network of both carriers as it strives to securely welcome guests from across the world. We are convinced that both airlines will rebuild their networks even better as they navigate their way back to health,” he said.
Emirates customers can fly on codeshare flights to almost 56 different flydubai locations, while flydubai passengers can fly to almost 82 different Emirates vacation spots. Travelers can also benefit from an expanded schedule that spans 30 locations offered by both airlines.
Flydubai recently confirmed the restart of flights to 12 Russian cities, five Iranian cities, and seasonal locations in Georgia, Turkey, and Montenegro, with additional destinations scheduled to be disclosed in the following months as countries reopen their boundaries for trade and tourists.
Both airlines are adding more flight schedules as 16 more countries open up for international tourism with quarantine-free entrance, namely Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Djibouti, Finland, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Serbia, Tanzania, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Emirates passengers will have an even better experience commencing on May 21st, with enhanced timetables and connectivity to 22 flydubai locations from Terminal 3. Among the locations are Basra, Belgrade, Bucharest, Kyiv, Odesa, Prague, Salalah, Sofia, and Zanzibar.
Emirates and flydubai provide travel experiences and in-flight services that are tailored to the value creation of each unique brand while emphasizing the health and safety of customers and staff on the ground or in the air.
Both airlines have adopted rigorous biosecurity procedures during the flight, comprising improved sanitization and onboard state-of-the-art HEPA filters, among other practices. A considerable number of both airlines' employees and pilots were also properly immunized.
During the Arabian Travel Market, the Middle East's premier travel and tourist event, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum welcomed an official government team from Egypt.
Mohamed Manar, Minister of Aviation; Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Bassem Samy Abdelkarim, Assistant Minister of Civil Aviation for International, Commercial, and Media Affairs; Amro Abuelenien, Chairman of Egyptair Holding Company; and Nevine El-Aref, Media Advisor to the Minister of Antiquities led the Egyptian government team.
Throughout their tour, the representatives looked at ways to boost tourism among UAE and Egypt. The group also reviewed Emirates' services to Egypt and the airline's continuous commitment to the country's restoration of trade and tourism.
Emirates started service to Cairo in June 2020, and just two months later, it immediately stepped up its services with the introduction of its flagship A380 aircraft. As part of its 21 weekly services to Cairo, the airline presently flies twice daily A380 flights to fulfill continuously strong passenger demand, improving the connection between UAE and Egypt and beyond the carrier's network over 90 locations.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, Emirates SkyCargo assisted in transporting critical medical supplies and food to and from Egypt. The airline continues to connect local companies and assist exports, mainly thousands of tonnes of food and perishable items from Egypt going for the Middle East and Europe, benefiting the regional economy. In that same period, Emirates SkyCargo aided with the importation of medications into Egypt, notably the COVID-19 vaccination.
Emirates is already servicing Egypt since 1986, and around 8.4 million passengers have flown to and from Cairo on Emirates flights.
ATECA Hotels, a division of ATECA Holding, announced ambitious development ambitions at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai, with a target of five hotels in Uzbekistan And Central Asia by Q4 2022.
