As per the procedure, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) would begin localization of employment in the communications and information technology (IT) sector on Sunday.

Communications and IT engineering, application development, programming and analysis, and technical support are among the positions available.

Except for small businesses, a 25% localization rate would apply to every one of the three groups in businesses with five or more employees.

To encourage the expansion of the communications and information technology industries, the Ministry intends to create 9,000 new job opportunities.

It also imposed a monthly minimum salary of SR7,000 for specialized employment and SR5,000 for technical field professionals for the targeted localized jobs.

On October 5, 2020, the ministry announced a directive to localize the communications and information technology professions in private sector organizations.

This program seeks to assist Saudi graduates in the CIT area in obtaining respectable employment, and offer an appropriate and exciting working atmosphere for them in the private sector, and boost their work in pivotal jobs to assist to the private sector's development.

A multitude of initiatives is designed to support the localization of CIT jobs, most notably the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's "Future Skills Initiative," and HADAF's programs and services, with the goal of qualifying and developing digital professionals and encourage employees to work in the CIT field.

It is worth noting that the MHRSD focuses on important specialties that are diversifying and growing to supply many unique opportunities for Saudi men and women, like jobs in communication engineering, IT, application development, programming and analysis, technical assistance, and tech jobs for communications.
