According to US President, Afghans will determine their future

“Afghans will have to decide their future, what they want, and the unnecessary bloodshed needs to end, and it's going to be incredibly difficult,” US President Joe Biden told Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.

Biden offered Afghanistan's senior leaders a "sustainable" collaboration even though he attempts to speed up the end of the US' longest conflict despite increasing Taliban aggression.

Afghan President Ghani understands that the promised that support would be both financial and humanitarian.

The leaders' visit to Washington occurs as the Biden administration accelerates its withdrawal plans before the president's Sept. 11 deadline to finish a nearly 20-year-old dispute with a staggering human toll.

According to Afghan officials, Ghani informed Biden that "the Taliban are not battling against us, but Pakistan is fighting in the disguise of the Taliban."

In an interview with two senior editors of The New York Times' Opinion sections, he expressed a desire for a new alliance with the US after September 11, 2021, when the US intends to withdraw all of its soldiers from Afghanistan.

When US President Joe Biden met with his Afghan counterpart, Ashraf Ghani, at the White House for the first time the interview was printed.

Khan also discussed his efforts to strengthen ties with Afghanistan and improve ties with India lamenting the fact that the current Indian government doesn't quite appear to be interested in normalizing relations; maybe a change of leadership in Delhi might help.

Three days ago, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi cautioned Afghan President Ghani and his staff in clear terms that they should not blame Islamabad in their discussion with Biden and his colleagues.

In reality, Qureshi blamed the spike of Afghan violence on Daesh in Iraq and Syria.

"Again, attempting to give the idea that violence is rampant because of the Taliban would be an exaggeration. Why am I saying this? Aren't there other components over there who are acting as spoilers?" Those were all Qureshi's statements, which were broadcast last week on Afghanistan's Tolo News network.

"They (the Afghan government) may claim anything they want, but the US understands Pakistan's involvement in the peace process very well, and the world understands our position," adds Qureshi.
