Princess Reema confirms that Vision 2030 has increased opportunities for women

Princess Reema Bint Bandar Bin Sultan, Saudi Ambassador to the United States, stated that the Saudi Vision 2030 contributed to the creation of more opportunities for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, encouraging women throughout the Kingdom to take advantage of programs engineered to work on improving their skills in various economic sectors.

This statement was made by Princess Reema throughout her speech at the "Igniting Women's Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Saudi Arabia" workshop, which had been hosted by the Atlantic Council's empowerME Strategy in collaboration with the US Mission to Saudi Arabia and the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia's Women in Business Committee. Martina Strong, the United States' Chargé d'Affaires in Saudi Arabia, also attended.

Princess Reema and Strong lauded the Kingdom's economic and social changes, which has also helped to expand entrepreneurial possibilities for women-owned businesses.

The Princess responded by saying that the Crown Prince's reforms, and also his desire to support and empower people, which would include youth and women, who have contributed to the execution of historical steps in a variety of fields, particularly in expanding the opportunities for male and female entrepreneurs.

Princess Reema spoke about her strong desire to start new businesses. “The only restrictions today are your ambitions, and Vision 2030 has unlocked so many chances for women to dream,” she added, encouraging women all around the Kingdom to take full advantage of initiatives aimed at assisting them to improve their business abilities.

The US Chargé d'Affaires emphasized that in today's digital economy, new industries and possibilities are created and grown daily. "We intend to see more and more women take their rightful role of leadership in the economy and throughout Saudi society," she continued.

The workshop "Igniting Women's Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Saudi Arabia" will be the first of five scheduled for this year, to link the US and Saudi business executives and entrepreneurs to increase possibilities and create partnerships.
