His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has declared the start of the countdown to Expo 2020 Dubai, the world's largest cultural event aimed at bringing the global community together to establish remedies for an improved future.

In 100 days, the UAE would be the first country in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) zone to hold a World Expo, the greatest worldwide convention since the COVID-19 epidemic began.

Expo 2020 Dubai, which is slated to open on October 1, is anticipated to attract more than 25 million people from around the world seeking to discover life-changing technologies. The mega-event seeks to foster cooperation and creativity to create real-world solutions as the entire world enters a post-pandemic economic recovery.

“100 days left for Expo 2020 Dubai, the world's biggest cultural event,” Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum tweeted. There are 100 days before 192 nations assemble in Dubai for the largest global meeting since the outbreak of the pandemic to escort in a new era of recovery.

“At Expo 2020 Dubai, 50,000 personnel have put up 192 pavilions, and 30,000 volunteers are prepared to welcome the world.”

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum went on to say, "Expo 2020 Dubai would provide the platform for the world's biggest and most inclusive cultural and intellectual exchange." “Expo 2020 Dubai will provide the groundwork for major economic, development, and cultural norms in the post-COVID-19 period,” he said.

“The force of human collaboration in surviving the pandemic is demonstrated in our achievement in organizing the world's greatest cultural event.”

“The international community is gearing up for a new stage of partnership by leveraging science and technology to battle the pandemic,” he added. Expo 2020 Dubai provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and technologies.

“By Expo 2020 Dubai, the UAE is connecting cultures and energizing initiatives and ambitions for a brighter future for all.”

Sheikh Mohammed went on to suggest, "People from all around the world are willing to join the once-in-a-lifetime uplifting and illuminating experience that pays tribute to human ingenuity." We shall meet at the Dubai Expo 2020.”

Global Milestones at Expo Dubai

Expo 2020 Dubai marks several firsts as the first World Expo to be held in the MEASA area in the event's 170-year history. It would have been the first worldwide event since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Another novelty would be that each participating country can have its own pavilion. Countries would be grouped not by geography, but by the three subthemes of Expo 2020: Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability - issues deemed critical to establishing a brighter future for mankind. More than 200 governments, multilateral organizations, corporations, and educational institutions shall collaborate to provide creative solutions to the world's most urgent issues. Expo 2020 Dubai is the most open and worldwide World Expo ever organized, kudos to the diversity of participating nations and organizations.

The UAE would host the major event with strict COVID-19 preventative measures and a healthy environment, with almost 90% of the population immunized against COVID-19, placing the country in the top five nations in vaccine distribution ratio.

Bringing Minds Together, Creating the Future

Expo 2020 Dubai shall take place between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022, with the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future." The major event brings added relevance in the aftermath of the COVID-19 epidemic, as the need for cooperation and information sharing will never be more essential to propel change and create real answers to current social issues. It will galvanize the entire community around the idea that genuine human success derives from a partnership.

Expo 2020 Dubai is done in conjunction with the UAE's Golden Jubilee, providing a perfect chance to share the UAE's tremendous experience and inspirational stories with the rest of the world. Through the event, the UAE will establish new relationships with multinational and worldwide businesses to fuel its next 50-year growth path.

Expo 2020 Dubai will display the newest technologies in a range of sectors which will have a meaningful and beneficial influence on people's lives during a six-month time.
