Automation has the potential to raise Saudi GDP

As per the current study commissioned by Automation Anywhere, intelligent automation can double Saudi Arabia's economy to $1.6 trillion by 2030, while also contributing $293 billion. The study outlines three critical appeasers to promote intelligent automation, including speeding the digitalization of government institutions and private companies across the cloud, increasing digital skills training and growth, and fostering a stronger ecosystem of startups, enterprises, government, and academia to drive innovation.

“A temporary recession was triggered by the Covid-19 economic disturbance. However, with our award-winning cloud RPA [robotic process automation] platform, our customers have been able to speed up their digital transformation and make their businesses more resistant,” said Milan Sheth, executive vice-president, IMEA, at Automation Anywhere. “We resonate with the report's findings and conclude that intelligent automation is the first step toward a digital-first approach and that it can be a core strategy in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals to stimulate economic growth and develop future skills.”

Through intelligent automation deployments, Saudi Arabia can drive technology-led efficiency. As per Saudi Arabia results, intelligent automation is a mixture of RPA and artificial intelligence that speeds up digital transformation. Ernst and Young's study is paving the way for research for the rest of the globe.

“Intelligent automation can function as a virtual workforce, performing routine and boring tasks for businesses, enabling them to reallocate their workforce with better skills and efficiency than it has ever been. We intend to establish a process automation leadership program through the adoption of new technologies in intelligent automation to help drive and achieve our transition goals and objectives in line with Bank Aljazira's overall bank's strategy,” said Faisal Al Rashoudi, vice-president and head of digitization and automation.

Saudi Arabia has laid strong groundwork for Vision 2030 by aggressively encouraging private and public partnerships to reduce its reliance on oil, diversify its economy, and improve public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, leisure, and tourism. Government services, the public sector, banking, insurance, electricity, and materials, according to the new report, offer the best opportunities to maximize intelligent automation while achieving Vision 2030 goals.

“We see a bigger opportunity for Saudi Arabia to be at the frontline of digital transition and technological innovation across the sectors, particularly post-pandemic,” said Ali Shabdar, regional director – the Middle East and Africa at Zoho. Strategic resource distribution, talented young crowd, and the huge impact of global technology leaders all contribute to this.”

Saudi Arabia's digital transformation efforts are fueled by strong leadership and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs, which seek to improve citizens' quality of life by developing smart cities, smart governments, and, ultimately, a smart economy. “The pandemic has intensified the adoption of creative strategies to satisfy the need for social distancing while retaining business activities,” said Alain Penel, Fortinet's regional vice-president for the Middle East. Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and robotic process automation (RPA) are all contributing to accelerate the Kingdom's ongoing and unparalleled digital transformations. This also lays the groundwork for the country to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation.”

“Saudi Arabia is making massive digital strides through industries,” said Mohamed Abdallah, regional director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa at SonicWall. Smart cities, 5G-powered oil and gas campuses, smart metering, smart water management, smart healthcare, and distance learning enabled by smart education are examples of innovative 5G, AI, and cloud technology that are components of the Saudi 2030 vision. As the country embraces digital transformation, visibility, protection, and connectivity across a distributed organization will become increasingly important.”
