Incentives Has Been Announced For Umrah and Haj Sector by Saudi Arabia

On Tuesday, numerous initiatives have been announced for supporting the individuals in Umrah and Haj sector and private sector establishments by Saudi Arabia for lessening the impact of economy after Coronavirus outbreak.

The initiatives are considered as the extension of the effort of the Kingdom for addressing the economical activities and its impact mostly after COVID-19.

As per SPA, official news agency of Saudi Arabia, the accommodation facilities close to the cities of Madinah and Makkah Al Mukarramah are going to exempt from annual fees for license to entertain municipal commercial activities for a year.

Also the people associated in Umrah and Haj sectors are exempted from charge to work as the expatriates for six months.

No accommodation facility charge will be needed by the Ministry of Tourism for holy cities such as Madinah and Makkah along with renewal fee for a year is also going to extend as well.

The residency renewal fee collection for the expatriates who engage in activities associated to Umrah and Haj sector also get postponed for 6 months. The amounts should be paid in small installments for a year.

Plus, license validity for bus operation to facilitate the transport pilgrims has been extended without any additional charge for a year. Even SPA reveals that custom duties collection for the new buses for Haj session 1442 AH has been postponed for 3 months and payment can be made in small installments from 4th months onward considering the due date.
