Saudi Arabia announced a $20 million fund grant for Sudan.

During an international conference here on Monday, Saudi Arabia pledged to give a $20 million gift to help address Sudan's funding shortfall with the International Monetary Fund.

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan led the Kingdom's delegation to the Paris summit to assist Sudan and the Summit on Financing African Economies on behalf of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

The team comprises Finance Minister Muhammad Al-Jadaan and many officials from the foreign and finance ministries.

As per the Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman are eager to reduce Sudan's debt load while somehow expanding Saudi investments in the north African country.

He said that the leadership also aims to extend the Kingdom's assistance to all sectors of the country so that they can meet the Sudanese people's expectations for further progress, prosperity, and growth.

The Saudi foreign minister further stated that the donation is a continuation of Riyadh's prior assistance to Khartoum.
