As per the Global Consumer Confidence Index: May 2021 released by Ipsos, Saudi Arabia topped the "Consumer Confidence in Local Economy Trends" index among the twenty-three nations featured in the survey, the Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday.

The index incorporates consumer opinion on the current and future state of the local economy, and also their appraisal of their own financial situation and investment opportunities.

Various industries and governments like the Kingdom's National Center for Performance Measurement, study changes in such indicators to make economic and investment choices (ADAA).

For the same month, the Kingdom scored second internationally among other twenty-three nations in the general index of "consumer confidence," and also second in the findings of the "personal financial capabilities" index and second in the "investment confidence" index.

According to ADAA, the "Global Consumer Confidence Index" is based on four key axes in its evaluation: consumer confidence in "personal financial capabilities, local economic trends, investment climate, and overall job security."
