A lot of reliable sources have speculated on the probability of a new MacBook Pro being unveiled at the WWDC 2021.

Apple WWDC 2021 commences tonight at 10.30 p.m. IST. The manufacturer of the iPhone 12 is likely to unveil fresh software updates for its devices. At today's Apple Event, Apple is likely to reveal iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, and some other product lines. Rumors also suggest that the 2021 MacBook Pro will be unveiled today at WWDC. Is Apple planning to introduce a new MacBook Pro at WWDC 2021? Here's what we know thus far.

WWDC 2021: New MacBook Pro on the way?

WWDC is often used by Apple to reveal a software for all of their devices. However, the firm has unveiled hardware devices during the developer event on a few occasions in the past. The Mac Pro (2019), iMac Pro (2017), and HomePod (2017) are just a handful of the goods introduced at WWDC in recent years. This would not be astonishing if Apple introduced the long-rumored MacBook Pro at its software-focused event on June 7.

A lot of reliable sources have speculated on the potential of a new MacBook Pro being unveiled at the WWDC 2021. According to Jon Prosser, the new, updated MacBook Pro would be unveiled at WWDC 2021. This has been backed by a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who divulged several of the major MacBook Pro parameters ahead of the presentation. As per Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives, Apple has "some surprises" in-store.

What we learned so far about MacBook Pro 2021

As per reports, the next MacBook Pro will have 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes. According to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, both models will sport a mini-LED display. The new display technology has already been released by Apple on the 2021 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

The next 2021 MacBook Pro models are expected to get a significant design update. The Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch is codenamed J314, whereas the 16-inch model is designated J316. Both models will feature a new chassis and magnetic recharging.

The two models are believed to have a more advanced version of the M1 microprocessor, or potentially the M2. As per Bloomberg, Apple will release two variations with distinct Chips called Jade C-Chop and Jade C-Die. The two chips will have eight high-performance cores and two low-power cores. The biggest distinction would be in the GPU section. Both variants will be outfitted with 16 or 32 GPU cores. The M1 processor has four performance cores and four efficiency cores. These have eight graphics cores as well.

Apple had previously launched a 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro last year. In addition, the future Apple Silicon would support up to 64GB of RAM, up from 16GB on the present M1 chip.

Additional ports would be included in the next MacBook Pro model. An HDMI connector and an SD card reader socket would be placed on the right side of the MacBook Pro. It will include three USB Type-C ports rather than the current generation's four. Two of the three Type-C connectors would be located on the left edge of the gadget. MagSafe is expected to make a reappearance on the MacBook, with a socket positioned on the machine's left side.
