New appointments to federal department boards are approved by Mohammed bin Rashid.

To strengthen the efforts of the federal government's work and help the country's overall development process, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai approved several new federal department board appointments. Following the recent UAE Cabinet reshuffle, the new appointments seek to advance the work of federal councils and facilitate their positions in achieving the federal government's strategic national objectives.

Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, has been appointed as President of the UAE Council for Climate Change and Environment, to oversee the council's efforts in drafting the country's public policy on climate change, environment, green growth, and developing projects to mitigate the effects of climate change, promoting joy. He will further help the council supervise the implementation of the UAE Green Growth Plan, represent the country in international and regional organizations, harmonize federal and local policies, promote private-sector cooperation initiatives and support relevant research studies.

His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed appointed Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, as President of the UAE's Industrial Coordination Council, which is entrusted with identifying the UAE's industrial sector's strategic directives and priorities, developing related policies, legislation, procedures, and incentives and proposing campaigns to encourage knowledge and expertise exchange.

Hessa Essa Buhumaid is appointed as Minister of Community Development, as President of the National Council for Quality of Life, which aims to improve federal-local coordination, harmonize policies and programs, and support the implementation of the National Strategy for overall wellbeing.

Buhumaid is appointed as President of the National Council for Quality of Digital Life, established to coordinate policies, programs, and issues related to the digital sphere by developing policies and programs.
