According to new guidelines announced by the French government on Friday, completely vaccinated tourists from Saudi Arabia would no longer be required to undergo quarantine upon arrival in France.

France's Ambassador to the Kingdom Ludovic Pouille tweeted on Friday, "Good friends from #KSA, from #June9th, if you have been vaccinated and also have a proper visa, you may travel to France with a PCR tests conducted fewer than 72 hours before departure & without any quarantine upon arriving!"

The new rules, which take into effect on June 9, are component of the French government's attempt to remove foreign travel restrictions to help the country's economy recover from the effects of the coronavirus outbreak.

Fully immunized travelers would still be needed to present a negative test result albeit a prior need that they quarantine will be lifted, and non-essential travel will no longer be prohibited.

Saudi Arabia, together with the United Kingdom and the United States, are labeled as orange in France's new "traffic lights" travel system, which classifies nations based on their health problems.

Non-vaccinated tourists will be required to submit a crucial cause for admission, and a negative test, and will be quarantined for seven days.

All EU nations, and also Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Israel, Lebanon, and Singapore, are labeled "green."

There will be no requirement for a crucial cause for admission, but only non-vaccinated tourists will be required to perform a PCR or antigen test within 72 hours.

South Africa, Brazil, India, and Turkey are among the "red" countries. Whether or not immunized, all travelers would be required to demonstrate an essential cause for entrance, a negative test, and a quarantine period of seven to ten days on landing.
