The Turkish President further complimented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the impending blessed Eid ul-Fitr.

For his role, King Salman expressed gratitude to the Turkish president for his congratulations and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless this occasion for all Muslims.

Turkey is attempting to restore relations with the Gulf State after they were strained, and it is also attempting to restore relations with other countries in the nation after its economy suffered a setback.

In reaction to Ankara's animosity, Saudi residents backed an illegal ban on Turkish products last year, reducing the value of trade by 98 %.

Erdogan's spokesperson, Ibrahim Kalin, informed Reuters previous month that Erdogan and King Salman made a "positive call" in April and that the two countries foreign ministers decided to meet.

The discussion on Tuesday came a day before a meeting among Turkish and Egyptian officials in Cairo, the latest move in Turkey's efforts to improve ties with Arab countries.

According to a statement released by Egypt's Foreign Ministry, Egypt and Turkey will hold a meeting on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss resuming bilateral ties and other regional issues.

The conversations will take effect in Cairo between Egypt's Deputy Foreign Minister Hamdi Sanad Loza and Turkey's Deputy Foreign Minister Sadat Unal.

The discussions, according to the report, will include critical measures toward normalization and bilateral ties among Egypt and Turkey, and coordination on regional issues.
