On Monday, Saudi Arabia's Deputy Defense Minister, Prince Khalid Bin Salman, met with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who's in the Kingdom on an official meeting.

During the meeting, they addressed bilateral ties inside the context of a strategic partnership and looked for ways to deepen them, particularly in defense-related areas.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the conference examined Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom's attempts to improve, preserve, and safeguard the area from dangers, and their role in building global peace and security.

They also reviewed the recent events in Yemen in light of the complete Saudi proposal to resolve the crisis, setting the path for a durable and comprehensive political settlement, and the need to increase pressure on the Houthis to engage in peaceful resolution efforts.

“Met with H.E the UK Foreign Secretary @DominicRaab to evaluate the strategic partnership between our 2 nations and our common ambition for strengthening regional stability and security, discussing mutual challenges, and the peace process in Yemen in context of the Saudi strategy,” Prince Khalid tweeted.

Saudi Ambassador to the UK, Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the UK, Saudi Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, Military Adviser to the Minister of Defense Maj. Gen. Talal Al-Otaibi, Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Muhammad Bin Saeed Al-Jaber, and Director-General of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Defense Hisham Bin Abdulaziz Bin Saif.

The meeting had also been joined by UK Ambassador to the Kingdom Neil Crompton the minister's entourage, accompanying the minister.
