The Majesty 175, the world's biggest composite construction superyacht, was launched during its global premiere in Dubai Harbour on Sunday by Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

The Majesty 175, wholly constructed in the UAE, is the premier superyacht of Gulf Craft, one of the world's finest shipbuilders. It pushes the frontiers of superyacht construction with its lightweight material that permits smooth sailing in low-draft seas.

During the event, which was organized in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), luminaries and high-ranking officials visited the superyacht as it cruised in the Arabian Gulf, showcasing its superior stability and mobility on the high seas.

The event was attended by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai Tourism, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, and Mohammed Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft.

The Majesty 175 was built at Gulf Craft's integrated in-house production center in the UAE and successfully passed a series of sea testing before her world debut. The yacht will next go on worldwide journeys, flying the UAE flag at worldwide yacht events, ports, and exotic locations, putting the country firmly on the global yachting map.

“The UAE has quickly returned as one of the world's safest tourist attractions, further boosting the expansion of the yachting tourism sector,” said Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing. With approximately 830 superyacht projects under construction or ordered internationally this year, the Middle East remains one of the most active superyacht marketplaces. The Majesty 175's debut in Dubai underscores the region's enormous potential for the yachting sector. This will boost trust in the marine leisure industry and help to expand the nation's yachting and recreational boating sector.”

The Majesty 175 is a magnificent superyacht, as per Mohammed Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, that showcases Gulf Craft's potential to construct world-class boats encompassing every element, from concept to construction – entirely inside the UAE. The Majesty 175 solidifies Gulf Craft's status as a worldwide yachting industry leader and enhances the country's status as a major yachting attraction.

"At Gulf Craft, we design and build remarkable yachts that will please yachting fans all over the world." Despite the obstacles of the pandemic, Gulf Craft devoted nearly four years of work to construct this boat in less than the usual timeframe. With the global debut of the Majesty 175 in Dubai Harbor, we are reinforcing the country's attractiveness as a full-service yachting location.”

The construction of the Majesty 175

The 55-metre long superyacht with a beam of 9.6 metres has a gross tonnage of 780 and was constructed to the criteria established by the UK's Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for yachts exceeding 500 gross tonnages (GT). It can sail in low-draft areas of the sea easily, pulling just 2.05 metres of water, because of modern composite metals such as carbon fiber and vinyl ester. This provides for close beach access, which is important for many marine lifestyle lovers.

Ingenious design

The appearance and interior of the Majesty 175 were created by the award-winning Cristiano Gatto Design Studio in Italy, while its naval structure was created by Massimo Gregori of the Yankee Delta Studio. The front deck contains a 5-metre infinity pool and a hybrid sky lounge which can be transformed into an open sun deck. A swim-jet system provides a steady circulation of water in the pool. The innovative layout offers seven luxurious bedrooms and can house a crew of up to ten people with six huge crew cabins and separate captain's quarters.

The Majesty's electricity is supplied by two pairs of TRAC fin stabilizers and two 175 kW Kohler generators. A SOLAS lifeboat and an emergency generator are among their safety measures. Majesty 175 has a range of 4,000 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 16.5 knots, making her a transoceanic cruiser.

Majesty is one of five boat and yacht brands produced by Gulf Craft. Silvercraft, which offers economical smaller family and fishing boats; Oryx sports cruisers; Nomad exploration yachts; and Touring Passenger Vessels are among several brands.

Gulf Craft, which was founded in the UAE in 1982, has three facilities in the UAE and the Maldives with a production capacity of 200 boats per year. The firm has already constructed over 10,000 boats for customers all across the world.
