The UAE is ahead in vaccines due to leadership and 'terrific' campaign teams: Sultan Al Jaber declares

A UAE minister said on Saturday that the country's successful Covid-19 vaccination efforts were the product of the country's leadership's foresight and the "tremendous" commitment of workers employed on the immunization program.

On Friday, officials announced that 143,680 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered in a single day, bringing the total number of doses to 7.12 million. The UAE announced last week that it had vaccinated half of the country's population in two weeks and is ahead of time. Cases have also reduced drastically since, late February.

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the National Covid-19 Crisis Recovery Management and Governance Committee, said that the vaccination campaign teams are doing a fantastic job. For all of us, they are a matter of pride. They are our first line of defense to the nation for combatting the pandemic.

According to Wam, Dr. Al Jaber said, "Their unwavering commitment to succeed at their work and to accomplish their task in the best possible manner has significantly contributed to UAE now leading the world in per capita Covid-19 vaccinations." He further adds, this leadership of the UAE has set an "exemplary standard" in dealing with the crisis.

Under our wise leadership's guidelines, the UAE has maintained a constructive crisis-management approach and been among the first countries in the world to offer free Covid-19 vaccines to its entire population.

"Coronavirus countermeasures have been implemented, along with a comprehensive recovery management plan that has been implemented across all industries," Dr. Al Jaber said. He urged the public to continue to support national efforts to fight the pandemic and to adopt precautionary steps to recover completely from the crisis.
