In the annual ceremony, the Prince Talal Prize acknowledges clean water advocates

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Talal, president of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) and Chairman of Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development Committee, would attend tomorrow's award ceremony to congratulate the recipients of the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development.

The event will be conducted digitally, with Queen Sophia, representing the Prize Committee, in attendance and United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Nikhil Seth; Director-General of the OPEC Fund for International Development Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa; Executive Director of AGFUND Nasser Al-Qhahtani; along with members from international and UN agencies, the diplomatic sector, development specialists, and the AGFUND Board of Directors.

The $1,000,000 prize is presented out every year to the four projects that was executed by: (United Nations, international and regional organizations, national NGOs, public organizations, social business enterprises, and foundations, and other individuals).

It would be worth noting that the award ceremony has been conducted for the 2019 awardees of the Prize in the category of "Water and Sanitation," which is also the Sixth Goal of the 2030 Agenda.
