Jeeny campaigns to make blood donations nationwide easier

Jeeny teamed up with Wateen, the Saudi Ministry of Health's official blood donation app, to make it easier for volunteers to donate blood in all locations across Saudi Arabia by offering substantial fare savings.

Earlier in the month of June, Jeeny offered a 30% discount on transportation from/to all blood donation locations in Saudi Arabia through social media and influencers, demonstrating the company's commitment to social responsibility on a local level. The code, dubbed "Hayat," which translates to "life," had been made accessible on June 14th, to "increase local consciousness for the need for donating blood as a crucial component of care and public health," according to Falah Aldaham Alonzy, General Manager of Jeeny.

“As the first ride-hailing app business to start in Saudi Arabia in early 2014, we are strongly dedicated to the communities where it operates, but we're always ready to support projects that help to the social development of our great nation,” Falah continued.

Eugen Brikcius, Co-CEO, added, "Mostly with the impact that the COVID-19 epidemic has on every country on the planet, there is a rising demand for health awareness and participation from every individual who is capable." It is important to remember that Jeeny had played a significant role in assisting the Saudi community even before and during the pandemic, working with official organizations like the Saudi Food Bank and the Saudi Cancer Foundation to provide discounted rides and even delivery services controlled by its fleet of Saudi drivers.
