Saudi Arabia has adopted a multitude of initiatives to promote long-term agricultural growth

According to Ahmad Al-Fares, governor of the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO), Saudi Arabia has implemented a wide range of policies and initiatives to promote sustainable agricultural growth and enhance the agricultural area.

The minister responded by saying that these many methods assist achieve food security at the national, regional, and international levels, and preserve natural and environmental resources, adding that they also help create the food security plan and the rural development strategy.

The statements were delivered by the SAGO governor while presided through a seminar titled "National Dialogue for Sustainable Food Systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," which was hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in support of the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021.

Al-Fares noted in his address that the objective of the UN Food Systems Summit is to produce quantifiable progress toward the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, increase awareness, and enhance the amount of public discourse on how to help change our food systems.

For his part, Eng. Ahmed Al-Eyada, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, acknowledged that Saudi Arabia has done numerous key measures to work at all levels in the food systems and has made great progress toward attaining sustainable development targets.
