The UAE Cabinet approved the National Agenda for Non-Oil Export Development on Sunday to obtain entry to 25 new global markets and advance its foreign commerce.

This occurred at the UAE Cabinet meeting on Sunday, which was presided over by Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in Abu Dhabi's Qasr Al Watan.

Non-oil commerce in the UAE surpasses Dhs1.5 trillion per year, with a network that covers 400 cities.

The Cabinet also adopted the National Manual for Measuring R&D Expenditures in the Government Sector.

The UAE spends 1.3 percent of its GDP on R&D, which is fundamental to the knowledge-based economy we want to develop and maintain.

The Cabinet simultaneously adopted legislation changes in healthcare, education, the economy, emergency response, and crisis management, with the goal of providing the highest standard of living possible based on a steady and diverse economy.
