6 outlets of VLCC ties up with Cigalah in Saudi Arabia

VLCC, a beauty and wellness brand, has partnered with Cigalah, a Saudi Arabia-based healthcare services firm. It aims to open six VLCC centers in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the next three years, with an investment of AED 30 million. According to the group, the first such center will open in Jeddah in November of this year. VLCC currently has 20 locations in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.

“We're excited to work with a trustworthy company like Cigalah Group to extend our services in Saudi Arabia. Cigalah Group is a well-known healthcare brand in the region, and this partnership will help us accelerate our growth in the region and place us as strong leaders in the beauty and wellness space in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the future,” said Mukesh Luthra, chairman of VLCC Group.

Obesity is a big concern in Saudi Arabia, according to a study from the Department of Basic Sciences, College of Science & Health Professions, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh. Overall obesity will rise to 41% in men and 78 percent in women by 2022, according to the report. According to the study, males are more likely to be overweight, while females are more likely to be obese.

Cigalah Group director Abdullah Yaser Naghi further adds, "We look forward to working closely with VLCC and making the residents of Saudi Arabia making them healthier and fitter."
