Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is all set to operate international flights

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) stated it has finished all arrangements to fly international flights at maximum capacity, according to a report reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.

The action comes after officials relaxed a temporary foreign travel restrictions on nationals as part of preventive steps to avoid the spread of the coronavirus in the Kingdom, enabling unrestricted access to land, sea, and airports on Monday at 1 a.m. (KSA time) (May 17).

Saudia has said that it is ready to fly flights to 71 countries from 95 airports that will comprise of 28 domestic and 43 foreign destinations.

Since the start of the epidemic, the national airline has transported almost 10 million passengers.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's airports will run almost 385 foreign flights on May 17, as per the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

There will be no vacant seats

The national airline also stated in the announcement that there would be no vacant seats between guests on foreign flights as part of coronavirus precautions, stressing out that the International Air Transport Association (IATA) did not accept the plan because it would not contribute to higher safety while boosting ticket prices.

Saudia advised passengers to take the standard precautions, such as wearing a face mask and following other important health regulations.
