The UAE's hospitality sector is on a steady upward trajectory, well ahead of Expo 2020. The UAE is one of the leading countries in terms of COVID-19 vaccination rates and monitoring, which has contributed to a healthier tourist climate.

Due to government efforts to curb the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, promote domestic tourism, and take steps to boost the sector's recovery, hotels in the UAE where the world's second-busiest after China in 2020. During this exclusive interview with Gulf Today, Mohamed Al Aghoury, Cluster General Manager, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, reported this.

“It's been a year since COVID-19 invaded our planet, and ever since then, a different way of life has arisen. Over the same time frame last year, the Holy month of Ramadan was conducted in a way that was distinct from the original forms and customs for the first time. Our lives have changed and improved as we have adapted to survive.”

“While some countries are still fighting to contain the COVID-19 virus and its new variant, triggering travel worries, we, the citizens of Dubai, UAE, are fortunate enough to be able to step with the changes with confidence,” Mohamed added.

A rock-solid assurance that the government's many programs aimed at immunizing all people in society have had the greatest success in limiting the number of cases and restricting the virus's spread. “As we start to heal, this year's holy month will be different from last year's, although they all come under the same situations.”

Although Ramadan festivities used to be a charitable spreading of blessings to all: families gathering in tents and group feasts outside the mosque, these social representations had dramatically altered the course of the month.

This year, the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort has designed an updated version of Iftar and Suhor services, explicitly under Dubai Tourist activities and regulations, in keeping with the practices offered before Covid.

While different families cannot rejoice jointly, visitors at Sheraton JBR can create memories with their loved ones as they gather to end the fast. “Our guests will certainly enjoy the typical flavors of Ramadan with our exquisite and luxurious Middle Eastern and International delicacies waiting for them at our Palm Garden Restaurant and Terrace.”

“Guests may choose to sit together there or on our top floor, which is expanded to the stunning and expansive gardens, where Hadiqa, our possibly the best Arabic restaurant, provides a late-night Sohour from our traditional a la carte menu.” Mohamed wrapped up his remarks.
