A team from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), led by Chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, lately toured Sahara Centre, the ultimate lifestyle attraction in the UAE, to understand more about the new extension project, which is located in the mall's west wing.

The visit is part of the SCCI's effort to enhancing communication with all Sharjah economic facilities and sectors.

The delegation comprises, Waleed Abdul Rahman Bu Khatir, SCCI Second Vice Chairman, several members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of the Expo centre Sharjah, and Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department, SCCI.

They were greeted by Akram Ammar, Executive Director of the Sahara Centre, and Pierre Semaan, Director of Marketing, and were debriefed on the amenities provided by the new extension, which had an outstanding number of shops, entertainment spaces, and numerous eating outlets.

According to Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the visit is part of the SCCI's desire to continually monitor the activities and interests of the emirate's economic sectors. He added that the chamber is constantly looking to share ideas with the business community in a particular way that benefits their interests and contributes to the growth and development of the Sharjah economy. Al Owais emphasized that the Sahara Centre is one of the most significant retail and tourism attractions in Sharjah and the UAE. He complimented the Centre's management on the new extension, which he characterized as a "qualitative contribution to the shopping segment" due to the presence of internationally known labels.

Akram Ammar, Executive Director of the Sahara Centre, praised the Chamber for its continued support of the shopping center industry, emphasizing that the facility's renovations seek to improve the consumer experience through a variety of retail and eating outlets.

Aside from housing an unusually large number of shops, the new extension also provides new leisure and dining alternatives. It will have a level exclusively for cosmetics and aesthetics-related items and services, like spas, beauty product shops, salons, fragrance outlets, and cosmetics shops.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently welcomed Lars Pera, Guatemala's Ambassador to the UAE, and Jose Bassila, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Guatemala, to evaluate ways to strengthen bilateral ties and encourage investment in domains such as food security, waste management, and natural tourism.

The two parties decided to have a panel discussion with the SCCI counterpart in Guatemala and discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to improve collaboration at all levels.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, emphasized the importance of the gathering in boosting the future opportunities of commercial and investment cooperation, stating that the Emirate of Sharjah has huge competitive advantages that make it one of the top business destinations in the country.
