A man was yelling slogans in favour of terrorist organizations.

On Thursday, an armed man was detained in Makkah's Grand Mosque after yelling anti-terrorist slogans.

A spokesperson for Makkah police told the Saudi Press Agency that the man was detained by on-site law enforcement after wielding a knife and chanting slogans after the Asr prayer.

The suspect has already been charged with a felony, according to the speaker.

The use of racist and radical terms, according to Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais, head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques, is against Islamic doctrines.

The man "didn't value the sacredness of the site." Al Sudais said, "God has made the Grand Mosque a place of worship, including prayer, tawaf (circumambulation), and Hajj."
