On Emirates Road (E611) early Tuesday morning, a multi-vehicle crash occurred, leaving one woman with minor injuries and causing traffic to ground to a standstill.

The accident occurred in the early morning hours, when fog blanketed the emirate's highways, according to Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police. “We received a warning of a 28-vehicle collision on Emirates Road, Abu Dubai bound, after Al Rowaiyah exit,” he said.

Al Mazroui urged drivers to be vigilant, follow safety laws, and slow down while driving in fog or inclement weather. He clarified that accidents occur more often in poor weather, so drivers must maintain a reasonable distance between cars and modify their speed to the climatic conditions.

Al Mazroui also advised drivers to use low-beam lights and make simple lane changes. “Allocate extra time for your trip and double-check your path. It's also a good idea to wait until the fog clears before driving before visibility improves,” he said.

Six people were injured in five traffic incidents in Dubai in the last 48 hours, according to the Director of Dubai Police's General Department of Traffic Police. Most traffic incidents, according to Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, are caused by breaches of traffic rules, such as distracted driving.

The first collision occurred on an internal road in Al Quoz Industrial Area, in front of the Emirates Driving Institute, when a light vehicle collided with an e-scooter rider who was riding in an undeclared zone, according to Al Mazrouei. The biker was critically injured, according to him, and was hospitalized for medication. The second accident, according to Brig. Al Mazrouei, occurred in the Umm Ramool region when a lorry collided with a light vehicle, injuring the light vehicle driver mildly.

“Another accident occurred on the Al Ittihad Lane, which leads to the Al Mulla Plaza tunnel in Dubai when a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a cement barrier before flipping over. Brig. Al Mazrouei said, "The driver suffered a minor injury."

According to the director of Dubai Traffic Police, occurred on a service road along Sheikh Zayed Road on Wednesday morning. They got a warning about a speeding car that veered off the road and rolled over after crashing badly with another automobile.
