The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development has declared that all event and wedding halls in the emirate will reopen on Tuesday, in compliance with the national protocols in place to tackle the spread of COVID-19. The most critical of these is decreasing capability from 50% to 30% while maintaining social distancing and following all preventative steps.

All guests, including invitees and organizers, must present a COVID-19 PCR negative test within 48 hours of the ceremony, according to the DED-Ras Al Khaimah.

Those who got the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and finished it two weeks later are excluded from this requirement. Musical bands and folk ensembles are not authorized, keeping the safety measures in mind.

To receive a permit and permission from the official authorities, a form for the establishment of a party at those halls must be filled out.

Last year, during the coronavirus outbreak, an Emirati family in Ras Al Khaimah placed a precautionary requirement on anyone invited to their daughter's wedding. The wedding took place at the bride's home in Ras Al-Maamoura Khaimah's district. Before entering the home, the guests were required to take a COVID-19 test and present a negative result. Instead of formal wedding certificates, the family requested a COVID-19 negative certificate.

This was done for the visitors' protection and in accordance with the UAE's sensible leadership's guidelines. Residents have been encouraged to obey the Ministry of Health's precautionary steps, which include social distancing, avoiding big crowds, and wearing masks all the time.
