Princess Tarfa

The two-day Bodybuilding and Physique competition was held in Ajman for the first time.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), presided over the ceremony, which was organized in collaboration with the Emirates Bodybuilding Federation (EBBF).

The Ajman Bodybuilding and Physique Competition, which had a prize purse of over Dhs100,000, drew more than 220 competitors from all over the country, with more than half a million followers across various social media channels.

Weligamage Dias took first place in Classic Physique, Mark Banzon took first place in Master Classic, and Chinedu Obiekea took first place in Bodybuilding - General.

Sofia Maloletova won the Women's Bikini category, while Yulianna Anikieieva took first place in the Women's Fit Model category.

The competition was truly revolutionary in the world to use an electronic judging system created by Tarik Khalil, an international bodybuilding judge.

Under the guidance and support of EBBF, the framework was developed in partnership with a specialized software development team. The electronic system cut down on registration time while also allowing competitors to upload their documents, performance music, and sponsor logos. The machine even did away with the use of CDs and memory sticks.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Dr. Adel Fahim, Executive Assistant and First Vice President of the International Federation and President of the Egyptian, Arab, and African Federations of Bodybuilding, and Saud Abdulaziz Al Jasmi, Head of Events at the Ajman Tourism Development Department, were all in attendance at the contest.

Amina Hospital – Ajman, Ajman Sewerage Company, Jan Tana, the competition's official tan, the encyclopedia of bodybuilding history, Sada El Emarate Events, and Wawan Protein all sponsored the Ajman Bodybuilding and Physique Competition.

The competition was conducted with all precautions and safety measures in place, including Covid-19 testing, temperature checks for all contestants, masks, and social distancing.
